Your tools and your data stay yours

Two quiet promises that matter a lot: we plug into the tools you already use and your data stays yours, including the new data we create.

Two promises sit under everything we do. They sound boring. They matter a lot.

We plug into the tools you already use, instead of making you rip them out. And your data stays yours, always, including the new data we create while doing the work. That’s it. The rest of this page is just us keeping those two promises out loud.

If you want the big picture first, it’s over here. This page is the fine print, written so you’d actually want to read it.

We integrate, we don’t make you switch

You already run your business on a stack of tools. Your booking system, your accounting, your spreadsheets, your inbox. They work. You know where everything is.

So we plug into that. We do not show up and tell you to throw it all out and start over on our platform. There is no platform. We take a job off your plate by working with what you already have.

Sometimes it makes sense to swap a tool out and we’ll say so. Usually that’s when you’re paying for a whole expensive service just to use one small slice of it. But that is a case-by-case call and it is yours to make, not ours to force. There’s no rip-and-replace and there’s no forced data migration where you hand everything over and hope it comes back.

The point is simple. We meet your business where it is. The less you have to change to get the busywork off your plate, the better.

Your data is yours, including the new data

Here is the part most people have not thought through yet.

The real value of AI for your business is not some generic model in the cloud. It’s your data. Your customers, your history, the specific way your business actually works. A model is the same for everyone. Your data is the part that is only yours.

And as a robot does your job, it creates more of that data. Cleaned-up records. Tagged history. The structured version of work that used to live in someone’s head or in a pile of emails. That new data is valuable and it belongs to you. Not to us.

So we never hold it hostage. We don’t build a moat out of your own information and dare you to leave. The data belongs to your business. You’re free to take it with you, any time, for any reason. We have to keep earning the work, which is exactly how it should be.

A giant company’s CEO put this better than I can

You don’t have to take this from us. Take it from the person running one of the biggest software companies on earth.

Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft, said the goal should be that “every organization can own the learning loop that encodes its institutional knowledge.” In plain words: the smarts your business builds up over time should be yours, baked into a system you control, not rented from someone who can pull it away.

He even named the test for it. “A company should be able to switch out a ‘generalist’ model without losing the ‘company veteran’ expertise built into their learning system. This is the key test of your control and sovereignty.” Read that again. You should be able to change the underlying AI and keep everything your business taught it. If you can’t, you don’t really own it.

That’s the bar we hold ourselves to. The model underneath can change. What your business knows stays with your business.

The honest version

We’re not trying to lock you in. We’re trying to be worth keeping.

That only works if your tools stay yours and your data stays yours, so you could walk any day and just choose not to. We do the work by hand first, in the open and we keep the keys in your hands. We do not put a chatbot on your customers or a script in place of your people either, but that is its own page.

If a piece of your week sounds like it belongs to a robot, tell us the job. Your tools stay where they are and your data stays yours.
